Statement 3: Why should lessons revolve around problems? there are too many to be solved

In my own opinion as a future teacher, you have to make the lesson resolved around a certain problem. Using this, we can build creative and crirical thinking inside the students' mind. they can use it to analyze problems so that they will be developed as the years go by. through this they will be considered as competitive memebrs of our society.

Statement 2: In schools which embrace the child-centered approach, discipline is weak.

I think this statement is not true, they only misinterpret the design. In my own opinion this design is a great type of learning because it actively creates, construct meanings & understanding as viewed by the constructivist. Child-centered design seta an interaction between the teachers, the environment & the students.

Because learning is a product of the childs' interaction with the environment.

statement 1: Schools that adhere to the subject-centered approach make robots out of children

I agree to that statement,because based on what i've read about the subject-centered approach is a kind of strategy that most of the thoughts of the teachers came from the book,this design corresponds mostly to the textbook.Most of the school using this kind of structure aims for excellence in the suaject matter content. But come to think of it, children are also human beings, they have feelings & emotions too. Yes, they are right in some wyas, that they want the children to learn but not in that kind of way. You must teach them with love for them to be motivated to learn on themsleves. Learners are not passive individuals but one who engages with his/her environment. :)

is Philippine Education System really DETERIORATING?

I hate to say this but I think its true. In some ways it is deteriorating, for the simple reason that most of the teachers here in our country choose to go abroad. We cannot blame them because they believe that the salary and benefits given to them is not good enough for them to raise their own family.

It is also because our government doesnt really support the system, the budget for education is but mere chunk in the annual budget. Another reason why the education system is deteriorating is because the books being used by our students today are the same as the old textbooks used by our ancestors way way back then.

The government says that the teachers are the nation builders, but please help our dear teachers by means of giving them what is really due for their remarkable dedicationa nd hardwork.

english assignment

the article i read about was about Global warming. global warming as as defined is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

this article made me realize that we, people should think of various ways so as to make a difference on a personal level, and of explaining what needs to happen on a global level to minimize the damage we do to our planet. we should all realize how bad it will be for all living things if we do nothing.
